WHO WE ARE Vital Information consists of a team of experienced information professionals with qualifications in scientific and information disciplines supplemented by relevant industrial experience.
The team: ¨ Maggie Pringle (BSc, MSc, MCLIP) has been a director of Vital Information since 1991, having worked for the company since 1986. Prior to this, Maggie gained 12 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, most of it with Wellcome (now GlaxoSmithkline). Maggie is responsible for managing and developing the company as a whole. In addition she has a specific interest in the database and news services and brings many years experience to the task of interpreting the needs of both clients and prospective employees for our recruitment business.
¨ Anne Cowie (BSc, DipLib, MCLIP) has worked for Vital Information since 1986 and over that time has built up a wealth of experience and knowledge of both online and web-based sources of biological, medical and commercial information. In addition to literature searching, Anne's work includes training, database development, current awareness services and data collation.
¨ Denise James (BTech, MSc, DipLib) joined Vital Information in 1989 and has developed particular expertise in the area of thesaurus construction and indexing standards. She has considerable experience of working closely with a wide range of clients indexing and abstracting scientific papers for input to their databases. Denise has more recently extended her skills into web-based searching and information collation for our internet news services.
¨ Kathryn Martin has provided all administrative and accounting support to Vital Information since 1996. Kathy also plays an important part in managing and liaising with contractors and employers for our recruitment business.
		Vital Information is very fortunate in having a wide-range of skills to call on to support specific projects through its well-established freelancer register. The range of skills available both supplements and extends those of our own staff. All our freelancers are well qualified and experienced in their own field and have often worked with us for many years.
